Project work: Virgin Mobile, V Energy Drink and Miramax Films (Scary Movie DVD release). Media spread: direct mail, print, promotional & event marketing/design.
DENNIS INTERACTIVE: NYC: Copy Director (04.00 to 05.01): Established the editorial process for 60-person, NYC digital branding firm with weighty client list. Leadership role along entire creative process in agency and with clients. Accounts included Disney, Loews Hotels and UMG. Pitch wins included: Circuit City and Leading Hotels of the World. Co-managed media relations and directed concept and copy for agency promotional items. Awards: MC ICON platinum & bronze, HOW Interactive Design award, New York Festivals gold.
NiCE LTD: NYC: Communications Director (04.97 to 04.00): Diverse role included directing marketing and promotional writing for 50-person, NYC branding firm, along with lead conceptual and copy role for a variety of client accounts. Creative co-director of new biz development team. Clients: Bath & Body Works, Hertz and Pepsi. Pitch wins: Apple & Eve. Copywriting and copyediting in Spanish for the firm's Madrid office. Awards: New York Festivals gold.
SCHOLASTIC, INC: NYC: Marketing Coordinator/Copywriter (09.95 to 03.97): Coordinated concept and copy for nationwide marketing initiative to support the launch of a bilingual (Spanish) K-6 classroom literacy program. Role also included market research, competitive analysis and managing focus groups.
TEACH FOR AMERICA: NYC: Fourth and Fifth Grade Bilingual Teacher @ P.S. 59 in the Bronx (07.93 to 08.95): Teach for America is a highly selective nonprofit organization, which recruits college students to teach in needy areas and advocate for children's causes.
